It all began 34 years ago with a vision of capturing images of relationships. In the beginning, weddings were the mainstay of the business, but since then, the fine art portraiture of children, families, high school seniors, pets, and commercial photography has been added to give balance to our craft.

A family-owned and operated business, Southern Flair is nestled in the heart of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. Their 4,200 sqaure foot state-of-the-art studio and exclusive outdoor portrait garden are a testament to providing their clients with an outstanding experience.

The owner, Dwayne Lee, has earned two Degrees from the Professional Photographers of America - the prestigous Master of Photography Degree (M.Photog.) for photographic excellence, and the Photographic Craftsman Degree (Cr.) which represents meritorious service in the profession.

Dwayne has also achieved the distinction and title of Approved Photographic Instructor (API). He has taught numerous business and photographic courses all over at the local, state, regional, and national levels.

Believing in "giving back", Dwayne has also served in numerous capacities in the various organizations in which he belongs. He remains active in the following groups:

• Texas Professional Photographers Association (President - 2005-2006)
• Association of Wedding Professionals (President - 2004-2006)
• Professional Photographers of America (Councilor - 2004 to present)

As with any business, it takes a strong support staff to maintain the high standards of excellence we provide our clients.  

Barbara Lee is the Southern Flair's Studio Manager, with responsibilites in customer service, workflow, and production.

Heather Lee, Dwayne & Barbara's daughter, is an accomplished photographer in her own right. She has earned accolades for her photographic talents including Best Custom Wedding Album (Texas PPA), Best Multi-Maker Custom Wedding Album (Texas PPA), and numerous Distinguished Print Awards.

Rounding out the Southern Flair Staff are Connie Healer (Photographic Assistant), and Bob Woodruff (a great friend).
